How service works
What I check on a Sunglo
What working with this equipment actually teaches you.
- Pilot assembly and thermocouple.
The classic Sunglo no-light: pilot won't stay lit. Usually thermocouple or pilot fouling — a straightforward fix.
- Tilt switch and safety controls.
Safety cutoffs trip for reasons. I test them rather than bypass them.
- Emitter and reflector wear.
Heat output fades as emitters age. I measure what's actually coming off the unit before recommending parts.
- Rebuild-grade diagnostics.
I refurbish Sunglos, so my teardowns go deeper than a swap-and-pray service call. If it's rebuildable, I'll tell you.
Common questions
Do you repair Sunglos you didn't sell?
Yes — most of our service work is on heaters we didn't sell. That's the business.
What does a service visit cost?
Quoted up front based on the symptoms you describe. The diagnostic fee is waived when you approve the repair.
Can you rebuild a fleet?
Yes — multi-unit service and refurbishment for restaurants and venues, scheduled around your operation.
